Getting Started with Free to Air
No matter who is doing the installation, there are 4 things you
 absolutely need !
  1. a clear view of the southern sky
  2. a dish - 30 inches or bigger
  3. a Ku-band LNB
  4. a Free to Air DVB receiver

  • a level
  • a compass (with degree marks)
  • a 7/16 inch wrench (for most dishes)
  • Quality RG6 coax cable
  • a signal strength meter
  • Tri-pod (or mounting apparatus)
  • a portable TV

If you want the dish to be able to see more than one satellite, you'll also need either multiple dishes or a motor.
